
Tourism Industry Development Specialist

The Senior Program Officer is a key role in the Tourism Support Hub requiring collaboration with other areas of the department, local councils, and industry bodies to identify answers to questions posed by tourism operators and contribute to the development of the tourism industry in Queensland.
This role involves liaising with tourism operators to ensure their enquiries are resolved within the Hub's service delivery timelines. It also includes input into the Hub's data management system and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Main responsibilities include:
Main Responsibilities- Contribute to the delivery of tourism operator enquiries and maintain documentation to track and report progress.
- Support workload management, meet deadlines, and complete tasks independently or as part of a team.
- Provide high-level administrative support for projects and programs.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to assist in delivering tourism operator support and enquiry resolution.
- Assist in preparing client correspondence, briefings, and review documents.
- Work collaboratively with team members to share insights and ensure consistent case management.
- Foster a workplace culture that supports First Nations people and engage through work to contribute to better outcomes.
