Tourism Policy Specialist
The tourism sector is a vital contributor to Australia's economy, employing over 713,000 people and accounting for one in seven businesses. As part of the Australian Government's Visitor Economy strategy, we are seeking a Tourism Policy Specialist to work on developing innovative and effective policy outcomes for tourism.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development of workforce capability within the visitor economy
- Lead the implementation of THRIVE 2030, including supporting the THRIVE 2030 Implementation Advisory Group, Tourism Minister Meetings and Australian Standing Committee on Tourism work program
- Contribute to policy development related to tourism and enhanced visitor access issues
- Support the growth of Indigenous businesses and their success
- Drive modernization and innovation within the visitor economy
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the tourism industry. As a Tourism Policy Specialist, you will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement policies that support the growth and development of the tourism sector. You will be responsible for leading the development of policy initiatives, working with government agencies, industry partners and other stakeholders to identify and address key challenges facing the industry.
