As a key player in the Queensland Government's plan to deliver a global tourism future, you will play a pivotal role in doubling visitor expenditure to $84 billion by 2045.
The Destination 2045 plan aims to enable our tourism industry and deliver lasting benefits to Queensland communities.

Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain effective relationships with Indigenous people and stakeholders, including government agencies, industry, and business associations.
- Develop strong networks with senior internal and external stakeholders, including Indigenous businesses and Traditional Owners.
- Provide guidance to Indigenous businesses and experiences on framing their vision and pathway to success.
- Respond to emerging issues related to Indigenous tourism in the region, including public facing matters.
- Highlight Indigenous tourism success stories through case studies.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of programs that foster economic growth in the tourism industry.
- Represent the department at regional, state, and national forums to enhance Queensland's competitiveness in tourism industry development and innovation.
- Promote a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and community needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in program development and delivery.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
