Opportunity Overview

The Client Development Director role will be based out of our Melbourne office and has the overall responsibility to lead client development activities covering new business sales, as well as own the strategic and commercial management of existing client relationships.

This role is focused on a range of products and services with the portfolio consisting of:

  • Fund administration and management services
  • A wealth platform for pensions savings and investments
  • An enterprise digital platform for advisors, investors and policyholders
  • A unit registry platform focused on enabling fund managers and transfer agencies

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop personal relationships with key and senior client contacts internally and externally.
  • Ensure a detailed understanding of our client's and prospects business, products, strategy, requirements and understand the impact on SS&C's service offering.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and customer needs, to effectively position SS&C in the market
  • Liaise with Leads and Heads of internal business areas to monitor and ensure timely and quality service provided.
  • Solicit and maintain a network of prospects and nurture contacts to help develop the sales pipeline, collaborating with marketing to execute campaigns etc.
  • Achieve Year on Year Growth and individuals / team sales targets through understanding the financial drivers of stakeholders.
  • Lead new business proposal processes through a deep understanding of SS&C's products, services and technologies and how these can add value to a client's &/or prospect's business.
  • Lead all commercial and contractual relationships for clients.
  • Work with our clients and SS&C teams to always ensure customer satisfaction and communicate with internal stakeholders and executives of any potential areas of concern.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for escalations and owns the resolution process.
  • Drive solution process improvement and change through awareness of all client change requests/projects and how they fit in to their strategic roadmap of change.
  • Responsible for provision of relevant information to client contacts and internal stakeholders in a timely manner and in an appropriate format.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5+ Year's sales &/or client relationship management experience.
  • Proven track record in delivering growth targets and building executive relationships.
  • Detailed knowledge of superannuation fund administration & transfer agency and associated services.
  • Experience working with technology solutions desirable.
  • Experienced in Superannuation & Wealth Management essential.
  • Experience in Fund Administration desirable.
