Events Manager Opportunity

The Branksome Hotel & Residences offers a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Events Manager to join our team. Based in Mascot, NSW, this full-time position requires the successful candidate to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with proven experience in events management, ideally within the hospitality industry. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of business strategy and brand positioning, as well as the ability to adapt to growth and change within the business.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • To communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional events experiences.
  • To stay up-to-date with industry trends and market intelligence to ensure the hotel's services and new developments are showcased in the best possible light.
  • To participate in client familiarisation trips, site inspections, sales trips, and roadshows to build relationships and drive business growth.
  • To collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of events and exceed customer expectations.
  • To maintain accurate records of client interactions and event details.
  • To prepare proposals for conferences, catering, corporate events, social events, and residential conferences that meet the client's needs and exceed their expectations.
  • To respond promptly and professionally to all enquiries, whether by phone, email, or in-person.
  • To evaluate demand by recording enquiries and lost/declined business to inform future marketing strategies.
  • To provide exceptional customer service at all times to ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A strong track record of delivering successful events in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • A high level of attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
