About the Role

The Forestry Corporation of NSW is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Harvesting Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and sustainable industry, with a focus on forestry management and harvesting operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and implement site-based harvesting and road plans to ensure the successful execution of forestry operations.
  • Supervise and manage harvesting operations to achieve value recovery and meet operational production targets.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership to staff and contractors, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including staff, contractors, and community groups.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of forestry management plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in forestry management, harvesting operations, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and email.
  • Ability to use GIS and other mapping systems for planning and reporting.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
