About the Role:

Housing Plus is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Violence Specialist to join our team in the Central West NSW region. As a key member of our Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service, you will play a vital role in providing support services to women and children experiencing domestic violence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver best practice support services to clients, including crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, and healthcare providers.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service strategies and programs to address the needs of clients.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in domestic violence support and community services.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in community services, preferably in the domestic violence sector.
  • Proven ability to work with clients experiencing emotional distress, with a focus on trauma-informed care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying key stakeholders and establishing effective relationships.
