About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Norco's team as a Commercial Manager - Milk Supply. As a key member of our Milk Supply team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a consistent and reliable supply of raw milk, aligning with Norco's business requirements and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Guide a dedicated team of 5 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Strategic Decision Making: Shape the future of Norco's milk supply through strategic and commercial decision-making.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our raw milk supply chain.
  • Quality and Sustainability: Implement programs to boost quality, sustainability, productivity, and profitability among Norco's milk suppliers.
  • Growth Development: Develop and execute strategies to increase milk supply, supporting Norco's long-term needs.
  • Forecasting: Oversee the raw milk forecasting process to align with supply and business planning.
  • Process Management: Lead internal processes for milk supply agreements, payments, testing, and supplier communication.
  • Problem Solving: Guide the team in resolving milk quality and supply challenges.
  • Quality Assurance: Manage and maintain farm and milk transport quality assurance systems.
  • Industry Relations: Cultivate and sustain robust industry relationships.
Requirements
  • Education: Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Agricultural Science, or Agribusiness.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a trusted Commercial Manager within a team environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build genuine rapport with all stakeholders, especially our valued farmers.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong analytical skills and business insight.
  • Project Management: Skilled in managing projects and delivering programs.
  • Contracts Knowledge: Proficient in handling contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Leadership: Inspirational and authentic leadership capabilities.
  • Adaptability: Ability to drive change and adapt to evolving circumstances.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to visit Norco farms across QLD and NSW as required.
