Are you passionate about delivering exceptional support services to those in need?

The Salvation Army's Doorways program provides person-centred care to community members facing financial crisis, hardship, or distress. Our team is committed to trauma-informed practices, strength-based approaches, and holistic principles to empower individuals.

As a Doorways Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading emergency relief assessments and distributions, managing the workforce on site, and collaborating with local stakeholders to build relationships and identify resources.

This permanent, full-time position is located in Ipswich, QLD. You will work closely with Corps Officers, Volunteers, and other Mission Leaders to deliver integrated services at a face-to-face Doorways site and a cluster of local sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community stakeholders
  • Manage teams and lead emergency relief assessments and distributions
  • Collaborate with Corps Officers, Volunteers, and other Mission Leaders to deliver integrated services
  • Identify local resources and community needs

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or Community/Human Services discipline
  • Relevant experience working in the community services sector, including team management
  • Experience in conflict resolution and dealing with unpredictable situations and behavior
  • Current and valid QLD Working with Children's Check
