About the RoleThe Aboriginal Family Support Worker will provide critical support services to children and their families attending Head to Health Kids (H2HK). This role requires strong cultural brokerage, liaison, advocacy, and coordination skills to ensure seamless communication between clients and healthcare providers.
This position works collaboratively with a Case Worker under a bi-cultural pair model, promoting effective case management and support for clients. If you are passionate about providing exceptional care to Aboriginal children and families, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Culturally sensitive liaison and support service delivery to children and families attending H2HK
- Cultural brokerage and advocacy to facilitate access to healthcare services
- Coordination and facilitation of appointments and follow-ups for clients
- An Aboriginal person recognised and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in supporting Aboriginal children and families
- Current driver's license
