Job Overview

Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is a leading provider of health and community services to Aboriginal people. We are seeking an experienced Family and Community Liaison Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The Family and Community Liaison Specialist will provide liaison and support services to children and their families attending the Child, Youth Assessment & Therapeutic Team. This includes cultural brokerage, advocacy, and coordination of appointments and follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally sensitive support to clients, including liaison and advocacy
  • Coordinate appointments and follow-ups with relevant service providers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local Aboriginal communities
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure holistic care for clients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Identifies as an Aboriginal person; recognised and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community
  • Excellent communication skills, including fluency in one or more local Aboriginal languages
  • Proven experience in providing support to Aboriginal children and families
  • Current driver's license
