Job Summary

This role is for an Aboriginal Family Support Worker to provide liaison and support services to children and their families attending Head to Health Kids (H2HK) in Alice Springs. The successful applicant will be responsible for cultural brokerage, liaison, advocacy and support for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultural brokerage, liaison, advocacy and support for clients
  • Coordination and facilitation of child and family appointments and follow-ups
Requirements
  • Identifies as an Aboriginal person recognised and accepted by the Aboriginal community
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment
  • Proven experience in providing support to Aboriginal children and families
  • Current Driver's License
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range $74,470 - $82,855 per annum
  • Total effective package includes base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading and estimated tax saving from salary packaging options approximately $94,260 - $103,779 per annum
  • Six weeks annual leave, 10.5% superannuation and access to health services at no cost
