Our company is seeking a talented professional to fill the role of Regional Contract Manager-Apac. This position requires strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a focus on commercial risk assessment and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in reviewing and redlining customer terms and conditions, ensuring an acceptable risk profile for our company, and leading contractual schemes. They will also be responsible for identifying and registering risks, building and operating risk review sessions, and drafting and negotiating contracts.
This role involves driving commercial operations and risk management initiatives at the ITO and OTR stage, improving rigor in deal making/closure and operational excellence. The successful candidate will also support project teams on general contractual issues and claims, clarify contractual/legal enquiries, and provide support in the event of a dispute.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and redlining customer terms and conditions (T&Cs) and other commercial & contractual documents
- Ensuring an acceptable risk profile for our company given the specific scope of supply and deal dynamics
- Leading and finalizing contractual schemes, industrial models, and engaging with all respective stakeholders
- Properly identifying and registering identified risks in Risk Assessment Matrix tool and Salesforce Tool
- Building and operating Risk Review sessions to drive early engagement, strategy development & respective approvals ensuring leadership alignment
- OWNING the ComOps and respective risk process, including the use of tools and governance instances
- Drafting, discussing & negotiating NDA, Consortium Agreements, declaration forms etc. with potential partners
- Developing commercial expertise across regional Commercial & Sales teams to ensure implementation of Grid risk policies & standardized best practices
- Supporting ITO teams by applying KPIs and challenging risk/opportunity assessment & propose mitigation strategies
- Partnering with Region Sales teams in strategy development to create winning proposals and meeting or exceeding the region's plan for orders, and financial KPIs
- Supporting and driving change management process to improve commercial processes to reduce cycle times & costs, improve service quality
- Supporting large and complex projects from inquiry to close-out
- Establishing and implementing project-specific contractual procedures, particularly regarding claims, insurance, variation orders, correspondence, and notifications
- Supporting project risk and opportunity identification and analysis
- Providing support and guidance to project teams on general contractual issues and claims
- Clarifying contractual/legal enquiries, if necessary referring to Legal
- Providing support in the event of a (potential) dispute
