About the Role

As a Medical Billing Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our team at The Aushealth Hospital Research Fund Ltd. Your primary responsibility will be to liaise with patients, medical consultants, and external organisations regarding hospital fees and charges.

You will meet with patients in hospitals to obtain financial consent, relevant admission and private health insurance paperwork, and collect fees. Additionally, you will assist with resolving account queries for patients and health funds, provide exceptional customer service by building and maintaining effective relationships, and maintain confidentiality of patient records.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have prior experience in a similar healthcare role, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and exceptional organisation and time management abilities. Proficiency in MS Office is also essential. Furthermore, you will have an understanding of private health insurance cover and associated processes, resilience in having challenging conversations, and ability to empathise with vulnerable customers.

The Opportunity

We are offering a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. In addition to your base salary, you will have access to salary packaging and novated leasing options.
