Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and manage the Day surgery portfolio, working in a clinical capacity
  • Education and training of new and existing staff
  • Roster and daily allocation
  • Demonstrate application of the principles of clinical and workplace risk management
  • Apply sound clinical practice to ensure a safe environment and promote optimal patient health
  • Effectively exchange information regarding patient responses to treatment and nursing care
  • Achieve optimum patient care through effective collaboration with other health professionals and coordination of care
  • Achieve optimal patient outcomes through appropriate allocation of staff and delegation of work and uses effective communication skills
  • Exercise authority through appropriate decision making
  • Utilise customer service principles to exceed customer expectations

Requirements

  • 4-5 years recent endoscopy experience
  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality patient care
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
  • Exceptional time management, problem solving and organisational skills
