Job Title: Nutrition Information Coordinator- 20 Hours Per Week

Job Summary:

The Nutrition Information Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of patient trays. Working under the direction of the Manager of Patient Menu and Data Systems, this position responds to food requests in a courteous and efficient manner, documents all requests, and dispatches them to the service delivery staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responds to food requests on the phone with excellent customer service skills.
  • Documents all food requests into the computer following established guidelines.
  • Prioritizes food requests and dispatches them to the service delivery staff with attention to detail.
  • Monitors progress of deliveries and requests additional help as needed.
  • Ensures high-quality food customer service by directing completion of delivery and following up as necessary.
  • Documents completion of orders in the 4FOOD computer program with accuracy.
  • Communicates effectively with supervisors regarding patient special requests, allergies, and other issues related to patient safety/satisfaction.
  • Covers service delivery staff during breaks and accurately documents patient-related information.
  • Trains new employees and dietetic interns on daily functions of the Call Center with expertise.
  • Maintains strong and effective working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to communicate effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work quickly under pressure.
  • Good computer and typing skills with proficiency in software applications.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions using a calculator.
