About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDP Operations Manager to lead and develop our local staff across sites, ensuring the successful delivery of our Community Development Program (CDP) in remote Indigenous Communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Develop Local Staff: Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to local staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, and support their career development.
  • Meet Service Delivery Guidelines: Ensure that all service delivery guidelines are met, and reports are submitted to the National Indigenous Australians Agency and the General Manager of Community Services.
  • Support and Manage Community-Based CDP Programs: Develop and implement effective strategies to support and manage community-based CDP programs, including financial management and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Participants and Community: Work closely with participants and community members to understand their needs and preferences, and develop support strategies to address their concerns.
  • Align Activities with Participant Preferences and Community Priorities: Ensure that all activities are aligned with participant preferences and community priorities, and that the CDP is responsive to the needs of the community.
  • Contribute Positively to the ALPA CDP Leadership Team: Collaborate with the ALPA CDP Leadership Team to develop and implement strategies to improve the effectiveness of the CDP, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
About You
  • Relevant Experience and Qualifications: Possess relevant experience and qualifications in CDP or human services, and a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of remote Indigenous Communities.
  • Proven Leadership and Coaching Abilities: Demonstrate proven leadership and coaching abilities, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong Communication and Advisory Skills: Possess strong communication and advisory skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including participants, community members, and ALPA staff.
  • Commitment to Continuous Improvement and Project Management: Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and project management, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
  • Dedication to Maintaining a Robust WHS Framework: Possess a strong commitment to maintaining a robust WHS framework, with a focus on ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of staff and community members.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues and challenges.
  • Ethical Integrity in Community Development Service Delivery: Possess a strong commitment to ethical integrity in community development service delivery, with a focus on delivering services that are responsive to the needs of the community.
