Indigenous HR Coordinator Specialist

The Junior HR Coordinator will assist in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative support.
- Recruitment Support: Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Onboarding Coordination: Prepare orientation materials, schedule orientation sessions, and ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Employee Relations: Provide support in addressing employee inquiries, concerns, and requests. Assist with conflict resolution and promote a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain and update employee records, assist with HR documentation, and support HR-related administrative tasks such as data entry and report generation.
- Training and Development: Support the planning and implementation of training programs and professional development initiatives, ensuring they are accessible and inclusive for all employees.
- Policy Compliance: Assist in ensuring that HR policies and procedures comply with legal requirements and reflect best practices in diversity and inclusion.
Education:
- A degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in an HR or administrative role is an asset.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HR software or systems is an advantage.
Working Conditions: This position is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people with Australian citizenship. The successful applicant will need to provide evidence confirming their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
