Job Title: Director of Indigenous Community Development

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and coordinate all aspects of our organization's aims and objectives, establishing commercial and cultural entities, and implementing a strategic plan.

About Us

Narungga Nation Aboriginal Corporation (NNAC) is the Peak Body representing Narungga Traditional Owners and Native Title Claimants. We strive to develop strong and healthy families, grow Aboriginal culture, and maintain connection to country for future generations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating representation of NNAC and the Narungga community in regional issues
  • Leading Native Title agreement outcomes and Buthera Agreement outcomes
  • Nation building initiatives
  • Managing information flows to members
  • Collaboration with Point Pearce Aboriginal Corporation
  • Resource management, good governance, and financial reporting
  • Developing NNAC and associated entities, and managing service delivery
Requirements

The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous Australians, native title, and community aspirations. They will be experienced in developing corporate and community plans, and establishing networks and relationships. A tertiary qualification in Indigenous studies, natural and cultural resource management, law, policy, and corporate governance is essential.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include opportunities for professional growth and development, and a supportive work environment.
