Paralegal Assistant

We are committed to protecting the rights of individuals, families, employees, retirees, professionals, farmers, and small businesses, providing specialist advice across various areas, including Family Law, Injury Law, Workers Compensation, Unfair Dismissal, Conveyancing, Wills, and Estate Administration.
The RoleThis position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal specialist area, providing coordination and facilitation of workload, as well as administrative and paralegal support to our legal team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting lawyers with day-to-day file and client management tasks;
- Managing the workload of a particular specialist area;
- Providing a first point of contact for clients and responding to their enquiries;
- Preparing matters for conferences and hearings;
- Drafting briefs, letters, and other documents;
- Corresponding with external stakeholders as required;
- Conducting legal research, gathering facts, and retrieving information;
- Managing complex databases of information;
- Allocating tasks to contract administrators and overseeing this process;
- Performing day-to-day administrative duties as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A tertiary qualification in Paralegal Studies;
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience;
- High-level computer skills, specifically in the MS Office suite;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
- High-level customer service skills and professionalism;
- A strong work ethic and ability to take initiative;
- Excellent time management and organization skills;
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
