We are seeking an experienced Retail Commercial Manager to drive strategic growth across our Red Meat category.

  • This pivotal role is responsible for managing key relationships, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and combining commercial knowledge with data-driven insights to inform decision-making.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Driving end-to-end value creation across the total Red Meat category by managing key relationships and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Managing the Retail Supermarket Channel to support the delivery of the Retail Annual and 3Y Strategic Meat Category Plan.
  3. Continuously improving the existing product range and identifying profit and revenue rate improvement opportunities.
  4. Leading and managing Greenstock's retail product development and innovation projects through cross-functional teams.
  5. Collaborating with Greenstock Sourcing and Operations Teams, and the wider Woolworths Group, providing insights into the Greenstock value chain and recommending opportunities to improve overall returns.
  6. Project managing the scoping, feasibility, product development, and execution phases to drive end-to-end value creation.
  7. Developing strong working relationships with Hilton Foods Australia and key industry bodies such as MLA, APL etc to leverage information, market trends, and insights.

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor degree in Food Science, Business, Commerce, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Retail Key Account Management (finance, commercial retail, manufacturing backgrounds ideal).
  • Experience in the red meat or other protein categories, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain and the complexities of manufacturing environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Google Suite and the application of data analytics.
