Six Degrees Executive is proud to partner with Foodbank Australia, the largest food relief organisation in the country. Their mission is to provide more than 70% of the food rescued for food relief organisations nation-wide. Last year, they sourced the equivalent of 92 million meals for their charity partners and school breakfast programs nationwide, providing food relief to more than a million people each month.

The Role: Reporting to the Group CEO, the General Manager will lead the National Supply Chain, overseeing a team responsible for food and grocery sourcing. They will develop relationships with Member States as well as Suppliers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen partnerships and improve outcomes for Foodbank Australia.

Salary Package: The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary package, including a base salary of around $150,000 per annum, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Job Description: As the General Manager of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for shaping the logistics and transport model, leading a team of experienced professionals, and forging strong working partnerships. You will have a proven track record of strategic leadership, supplier management, and commercial food supply chain operations. Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementing supply chain strategies
  • Leading a team of supply chain professionals
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with Member States and Suppliers
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives
