We are looking for a Guest Service Agent to join our team in Melbourne.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for handling guest check-ins and check-outs, room guests, assisting with inquiries, and delivering exceptional service in line with our brand standards and policies.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Providing excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, addressing inquiries, and handling complaints or concerns, ensuring a positive and lasting impression of our hotel.
  • Performing check-ins, check-outs, and room changes accurately while maintaining detailed guest records and following all standard operating procedures, including handling cashier floats and daily financial reports.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of hotel policies, promotions, and reservation procedures, while upholding IHG standards of behavior, appearance, and cleanliness in the front desk area.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the company.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with other departments to make all guests' stays better.
