Intralox is seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our Asia Pacific team. As a member of the Technical Support Group (TSG), you will provide first-line, remote technical support to customers and internal departments. Your expertise will be applied across various industries, focusing on finding solutions to complex technical problems. You may also specialize in unique belt solutions for customer needs and provide product recommendations. This role is based in Melbourne and reports to the Asia Pacific TSG Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make industry-specific product recommendations.
- Conduct technical evaluations of conveyor systems.
- Provide remote troubleshooting and resolution.
- Create and present technical presentations via webcast or other remote technology.
- Analyze conveyor design and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide technical training for other employees.
- Research and locate technical data.
- Create Bill of Materials for projects.
Requirements:
- Native or near-native English. Additional language skills (SEA) are advantageous.
- College or University (technical) degree. Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 2+ years experience in an industrial sales/support or industrial equipment specification role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to conceptualize and articulate mechanical concepts.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficient with MS Office Applications & both 2D and 3D CAD.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/issues at one time.
- Service-minded, team-player, self-managed mentality with a sense of ownership.
