Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Regulatory Compliance Advisor to ensure our client's adherence to regulatory standards within the retail energy sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining compliance, facilitating growth, and upholding the organization's reputation as an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes impacting the retail energy sector.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits to identify areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address compliance issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance-related matters.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and authorities to ensure alignment with industry standards.
  • Analyze and interpret complex regulatory requirements to ensure compliance across all facets of retail energy operations.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement compliance initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to inform compliance strategies and processes.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required.
  • Develop and maintain compliance-related documentation and records.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in law, business, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the energy or utilities sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards governing the retail energy industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Certifications in regulatory compliance or related fields are desirable.
