
Aboriginal Workforce Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to lead the coordination and development of learning programs and resources with significant Aboriginal content.
This key role involves creating culturally responsive training initiatives that enhance inter-professional collaboration, promote ongoing learning, and ensure support for a strong and sustainable Aboriginal workforce.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations to deliver complex projects and culturally responsive programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong multi-agency partnerships to achieve shared goals.
- Prepare reports, policy submissions, and manage time effectively to meet priority project deadlines.
- Contribute to a system-wide, holistic approach to improving cultural capability and shaping policies and frameworks that align with CALHN's commitment to Aboriginal workforce development.
About You
The successful candidate will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong multi-agency partnerships.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A solid understanding of equity and disadvantage, along with a comprehensive knowledge of policies, legislation, and services impacting Aboriginal cultural safety in the workforce and communities.
