
Aboriginal Cultural Workforce Developer

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to drive cultural transformation and foster a culturally safe environment in our workplace. The successful candidate will lead the coordination and development of learning programs and resources with significant Aboriginal content, enhancing inter-professional collaboration, promoting ongoing learning, and ensuring support for a strong and sustainable Aboriginal workforce.
This role involves creating culturally responsive training initiatives that reinforce strategies, structures, and processes, helping us deliver services that are respectful, culturally safe, and inclusive. You will work closely with stakeholders, establishing effective relationships with Aboriginal service providers, external agencies, and training providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing culturally responsive learning programs and resources.
- Coordinating and facilitating inter-professional collaboration and training initiatives.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Aboriginal service providers, external agencies, and training providers.
- Providing strategic advice on Aboriginal cultural safety and workforce development.
Requirements:
- Experience in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations to deliver complex projects and culturally responsive programs.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong multi-agency partnerships, collaborating with government agencies, local services, and community networks to achieve shared goals.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with experience in preparing reports, policy submissions, and managing your time effectively to meet priority project deadlines.
- A solid understanding of equity and disadvantage, along with a comprehensive knowledge of policies, legislation, and services impacting Aboriginal cultural safety in the workforce and communities.
