Compassionate Crisis Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate social worker to join our team in Newcastle. As a forensic medicine social worker, you will play a vital role in delivering support to families and individuals navigating difficult moments.
Key Responsibilities:- To provide evidence-based information and support services associated with the Forensic Medicine Social Work role outlined in the Model of Care document.
- A Bachelor degree in social work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience with extensive specialist knowledge in crisis intervention, clinical assessment/case management.
- Ability to exercise independent professional judgement and advocate for clients in complex situations.
- Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills, including maintenance of current and accurate clinical notes.
- Recent experience working in a deceased environment and facilitating viewings.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call roster and occasional out-of-hours service.
- Demonstrated capacity to adopt and model the NSWHP RITE values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence.
