Job OverviewThe Country Leader has emphasized the critical importance of associated responsibilities for this role, tasked with fulfilling local activities and respective functions to ensure business acumen results.
Key Responsibilities- Sales Strategy
- Developing, communicating, and implementing regional growth strategies in partnership with the Region Sales leader to improve market position and HMH's products and services capabilities.
- Maintaining current knowledge and developing trends and technologies in Drilling, Construction, and Mining industries.
- Collaborating with senior leadership to communicate potential growth opportunities in the region.
- Creating business cases for regional strategies and sending long lead items requests needed following the DOA matrix.
- Business Development
- Generating new commercial opportunities in currently served and unserved markets.
- Establishing and supporting beneficial business relationships with senior leaders from internal and external organizations.
- Ensuring an active industry presence in the region through IADC regional chapters, etc.
- Setting regional sales targets and KPIs in alignment with Global KPIs and monitoring performance.
- Coordinating activities with respective other functions.
- Sales Leadership
- Managing existing accounts and opportunities in the region.
- Building, managing, and developing regional sales teams and regional strategies, including KPIs.
- Providing leadership to the region's sales and commercial personnel.
- Business Planning
- Owning Australia's forecast and running rhythm.
- Building regional yearly budgets and monthly forecasts by segments.
- Communicating region performance and progress to senior leadership through periodic status reports and presentations.
- A Master's degree in a technical or business discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years' management and leadership experience.
- Strong leadership and change management skills to lead organizational transitions and ensure successful adoption of processes.
- The ability to show and implement continual performance improvements.
- Highly motivated to lead teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Results-oriented with risk management experience.
- Excellent negotiation and sales skills.
- Excellent and thorough understanding of market development and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
