Overview

Menzies Aviation, a global leader in the aviation industry, is seeking a skilled Baggage Resolution Specialist to join our dynamic team at Sydney International Airport.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting arriving passengers with missing or damaged baggage across our 14 handled international carriers, ensuring excellent customer service and resolving issues efficiently.

Main Accountabilities include:

  • Taking Property Irregularity Reports from passengers for missing or damaged luggage.
  • Tracing missing baggage using client carrier systems and manual system.
  • Arranging delivery of on-hand baggage.
  • Processing interim relief payments according to client carrier requirements.
  • Processing damaged baggage reports in accordance with the requirements of the client carrier.
  • Maintaining constant communication with customers about the status of missing luggage.
  • Duties as required operationally.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated previous experience in a mishandled luggage role or similar within aviation.
  • Efficient computer and typing skills.
  • Professional and courteous communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to problem solve and complete work accurately within a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound numerical skills.
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
  • Maintain a high standard of grooming and presentation.
  • Ability to lift 32 kgs.

We offer:

  • A competitive salary of AU$70,000 - AU$90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
