Meat Department Manager

Job Summary:
The Meat Department Manager is responsible for leading the Meat Department team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and direct team members to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, productivity, and morale.
- Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive excellent service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and rotation of meat products to ensure that they are fresh and of high quality.
- Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following company policies and procedures.
- Training and Development: Provide training and coaching to team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate information to team members, customers, and management.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills to motivate and direct team members to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisor Experience: Previous experience as a supervisor or team lead in a retail or food service environment.
- Butcher Trade Qualification: Possession of a butcher trade qualification or equivalent experience.
