About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to join our team at Spotlight Retail Group (SRG). As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates and managing the daily operations of a department within one of our retail stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Store Manager in effectively managing daily operations throughout the business
  • Achieve sales growth and meet regular KPI targets for your department
  • Build and develop your department team to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Lead by example and communicate management expectations
  • Manage high volume stock levels and merchandise inline with business expectations
  • Launch catalogue campaigns and assist in recruitment and training functions
  • Conduct stocktakes and implement stock integrity initiatives to increase departmental profit
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and meeting KPI targets
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
