Meat Cutter

Costco Wholesale is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team in a full-time position. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the quality and safety of our meat products, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

• Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to our members, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
• Meat Preparation: Inspect and reassemble equipment, rework display cases, and rotate product to ensure optimal display and sales.
• Meat Cutting and Trimming: Cut and trim meat to Costco's specifications using band saws and knives, operate tenderizing machines, and mince meat while following safety and security procedures.
• Quality Control: Follow proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished products.
• Stocking and Merchandising: Assist with wrapping and stocking the meat case according to the Meat Manager's plan for product presentation and merchandising.
• Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize the area throughout the day, including the coolroom, to comply with health regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
• Compliance and Training: Complete and comply with all company policies of Quality Assurance, Food Safety certification, and all safety training required by the warehouse and department.
• Inventory Management: Assist with monthly stocktake (inventory) to ensure accurate inventory levels.

• Education: Completed Apprenticeship/Trade School preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience as a Butcher is required.
