Meat Wrapper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Meat Wrapper to join our team at Costco Wholesale Australia Pty. Ltd. as a Product Preparation Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and packaging meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and reassemble equipment sanitized the previous night, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Product Preparation: Take large trays of styro packaged meat from large wheeled racks and place individual packages into the automatic wrapping machine, following safety and security procedures.
• Labeling and Packaging: Set the labeler according to product type and price, print and apply labels to product, and ensure accurate and timely labeling.
• Inventory Management: Put wrapped and labeled meat on large trays of large wheeled cart and stock in display case by reaching through sliding windows or moving rack to floor.
• Quality Control: Operate the meat grinder, dump meat into the top of the machine, and check the fat content of each batch from the grinder, following proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished product.
• Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize the area throughout the day, and perform duties to comply with health code, such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
• Customer Service: Provide and ensure prompt and courteous member service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional manner.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in labeling and packaging.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work at heights.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and varying shifts.
