About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to join our Spotlight Group team. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of retail professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales growth in your department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager to effectively manage daily operations throughout the business
- Achieve sales growth and meet regular Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets for your department
- Build and develop your department team to deliver exceptional customer service, modeling our inverted triangle structure
- Lead by example and communicate management expectations
- Manage high volume stock levels and merchandise inline with business expectations
- Launch catalogue campaigns with effective ticketing and set-ups throughout your department
- Assist in recruitment and training and development functions throughout your team
- Conduct high volume stocktakes and implement stock integrity initiatives to increase the profit of your department
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of retail management experience
- Proven track record of achieving sales growth and meeting KPI targets
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
