
Midwifery Expert Lead

The Clinical Midwifery Consultant position at Auburn Hospital is a key leadership role that focuses on improving women's and children's health. In this capacity, you will provide expert clinical guidance and support for mothers and babies in the Western Sydney Local Health District.
This role offers a dynamic and diverse healthcare setting where you can lead maternity service development, research, policy development, quality initiatives, and mentor healthcare staff. As a Clinical Midwifery Consultant, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clinical excellence and risk management in maternity care.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least three years in midwifery, and relevant postgraduate qualifications. You will also possess advanced communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will be able to demonstrate personal attributes such as resilience, accountability, integrity, and the ability to manage yourself. Your ability to lead quality improvement, practice development, and evidence-based practice critical review will be highly valued.
