Clinical Midwifery Specialist Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Midwifery Specialist to join our dynamic team at Bennett Ward. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of clinical practice standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the delivery of quality patient care, develop standards of practice and implement changes to clinical practice.
- Initiate research, education and quality improvement activities and provide a consultation service within Maternity.
- Collaborate with midwifery, medical and extended multi-disciplinary teams.
- Adhere to and contribute to quality control and the implementation of OHS measures within the unit.
Requirements:
- Current Registration in the category of Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
- A minimum of 4 years post-registration experience, including 3 years' experience in the relevant specialty/area.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership experience in Midwifery and/or multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators and other quality projects.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs.
