Preservation and Reunification Specialist

This is a full-time, fixed-term role based in Forest Hill, VIC, within our Family Preservation and Reunification Program. The position reports to the FPR Practice Leader.
The primary goal of this role is to support at-risk children and their families by providing intensive intervention and sustained service support.
Key Responsibilities- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification, such as a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child Development, Psychology or a related subject area.
- Provide flexible working arrangements, including working outside of standard business hours, to meet client needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of program strategies to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
- SIGNIFICANT work experience in a relevant field that supports understanding of key child development issues relating to young parents and their families who have complex needs.
- Understanding of and demonstrated experience working with issues such as attachment, trauma, and intergenerational disadvantage.
- Child development research and its application in treatment.
- Experience using strengths-based and child-centered family-focused theoretical models.
- Experience completing and using assessment tools including North Carolina Family Assessment Scale and Adverse Childhood Experiences Questionnaire.
- Hourly Rate of $51 to $53.31 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 5, dependent on qualification and experience.
