About the Family Preservation and Reunification Role
This role is situated in the Eastern Region, in a Team that supports vulnerable families. The position is based at an office that provides services to prevent children entering or re-entering care.
The Victorian Family Preservation and Reunification Program aims to provide an intensive intervention phase, followed by a sustained service support phase, aimed at preventing at-risk children entering or re-entering care or reunifying children with their parents.
The program will link to, align with, and build on existing child and family services within the broader service system, providing an enhanced continuum of care across the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement interventions to support vulnerable families.
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide a comprehensive service response.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification, which may include a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child Development, Psychology or a related subject area.
- Significant work experience in a relevant field, supporting an understanding of key child development issues relating to young parents and their families who have complex needs.
