Regional Family Support Specialist

This role is situated in a regional area, working closely with the Family and Community Services team. The position is based at our office and involves contributing to a cohesive team to support families and prevent children entering or re-entering care.
Job OverviewThe Victorian Family Preservation and Reunification Program is an integrated and evidence-based approach to supporting and problem-solving with families. The program includes an initial intensive intervention phase, delivered through a mobile and integrated approach, followed by a sustained service support phase.
- A significant amount of work experience in a relevant field supporting young parents and their families who have complex needs.
- An understanding of and demonstrated experience working with issues such as attachment, trauma, and intergenerational disadvantage.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced practitioner to contribute to the delivery of this program. The successful applicant will have a relevant tertiary qualification and significant experience working with vulnerable populations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Families: Work collaboratively with the family and community services team to provide support to families in need.
Deliver Intensive Intervention: Deliver an initial intensive intervention phase, using a mobile and integrated approach, to support families.
Provide Sustained Service Support: Provide sustained service support to families, helping them to overcome complex challenges.
