Family Reunification Specialist

This position is situated in the Eastern Region, as part of a Family Preservation and Reunification Program. The role is based at Forest Hill office.
The Victorian FPR Program is funded by the Department of Families and Housing. It includes an initial intensive intervention phase, followed by a sustained service support phase. The goal is to prevent at-risk children entering or re-entering care or reunifying with their parents.
The model is an integrated approach to supporting families and preventing child entry into out-of-home care. The team works together and reports directly to the Practice Leader.
This is a Full-Time Fixed Term opportunity in Forest Hill, VIC. The position reports to the Practice Leader.
Key Responsibilities- Holding a relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Child Development, Psychology or a related field.
- Having significant work experience in a relevant field, understanding key child development issues relating to young parents and their families who have complex needs.
- Significant work experience in a relevant field which supports an understanding of key child development issues.
- Understanding of and demonstrated experience working with issues such as attachment, trauma, and intergenerational disadvantage.
- An hourly rate of $51 to $53.31, dependent on qualification and experience.
- Salary packaging up to $18,550 per year.
- Paid Training, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Sanctuary, and Cultural Awareness training.
