About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Intermediary business in Australia. As Head of Intermediary, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business plan to drive growth and expansion in this key market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan to drive growth and expansion of the Intermediary Channel in Australia
  • Work closely with the Head of Intermediary - Asia Pacific to develop and execute a focused growth plan for each prioritized client segment
  • Attract, develop and retain the required talent for execution of this business plan
  • Lead from the front when executing the business plan for the Intermediary Channel
  • Partner with the Product team to source new product ideas and provide high-quality feedback to the product development process
  • Develop and execute a PR and Marketing Strategy for the Intermediary channel in Australia
  • Be a primary point of contact for media in relation to the Intermediary Channel in Australia
  • Ensure strong local oversight and controls, including liaison with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Audit, Finance and the regulators
  • Partner and collaborate with ETF sales strategy team and the Institutional team to execute country-specific sales and marketing strategies
  • Develop and lead the Intermediary Client Relationships in Australia
  • Participate in industry associations and meetings to promote State Street and State Street Global Advisors brands, products and services within Australia
Requirements
  • Strong investment knowledge, including ETFs, Segregated Mandates, Managed Funds and Model Portfolios
  • Experience in the development and execution of an actionable business plan, including strategic insights and financial understanding
  • Strong business instincts, good judgment and creative mindset
  • Advanced communication and client relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to provide fresh insights and new ways of approaching issues based on past experiences, a global perspective, and well-articulated facts and reasoning
  • Dedication to risk, compliance, governance and regulation policies and procedures
  • Comprehensive asset management market and product knowledge across all SSGA asset classes and product lines
  • Analytically minded with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Willingness to assume responsibility and take ownership of tasks assigned
