Job Title: Database Administrator Team Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated database administration team lead to join our organization.

This role is critical in developing robust architectures, innovative solutions, and delivering operational support for enterprise database systems.

As a team lead, you will provide technical leadership and work closely with a team of specialist database administrators across a range of technologies, including MSSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and DB2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in MS SQL Server operations and support
  • Experience in leading database administration teams within enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based database services
  • Proficient in performance tuning, clustering, automation, and high-availability configurations
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Commitment to security best practices and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training, and/or experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in database administration
  • Demonstrated ability to balance and meet project and operational goals
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, manage changing priorities, and problem-solve
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools
  • Skills in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Always On Availability Groups
