Overview:

We are seeking a technically skilled and commercially minded data professional to lead our database management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex SQL queries, database structures, and data migration strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries and database structures.
  • Reverse engineer existing database systems to document data flows and dependencies.
  • Analyse and optimise database performance, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver insights.
  • Develop and implement data migration strategies and ETL processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation of database systems and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database management.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  • Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Proficiency in reverse engineering tools and techniques.
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with data exploration tools (e.g., Teradata, Python, Alteryx, SAS).
