Database Specialist

The role entails overseeing and managing Oracle databases hosted on cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee database administration, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Perform routine database operations, including shutdowns, restarts, patching, log cleanup, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Implement secure communication protocols to safeguard data transfer.
  • Configure and manage backup and disaster recovery systems.
  • Support data migration activities across environments.
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Database administration (12c, 19c or higher).
  • Expertise in managing Oracle databases on cloud platforms, including AWS services.
  • Proficiency in data replication using GoldenGate.
  • Operational knowledge of RMAN for backup, recovery, and configuration.
  • Proven skills in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with database replication technologies, including Data Guard and GoldenGate.
  • Ability to configure secure connections and monitor database status.
  • Proficient in proactive monitoring using OEM or custom scripts.
