About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative - Paint Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing exceptional service to customers.

Estimated Salary: AU$65,000 - AU$75,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

As a Customer Service Representative - Paint Specialist, you will be responsible for greeting customers, providing product solutions, handling payments, and replenishing stock. You will also be involved in making local deliveries and maintaining high visual merchandising standards.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, a genuine desire to deliver outstanding service, and previous experience working in a customer service role. Experience with stock handling and merchandising, as well as the ability to perform manual tasks, is also essential.

You will be working across a rotating roster in our 6-day a week trading store (Monday - Saturday) and will be required to comply with safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide service, advice, and product solutions to both trade and retail customers.
  • Tint paint products to customer requirements.
  • Inventory control (Goods Receiving/Stock taking).
  • Take orders in-store and by phone.
  • Replenish stock including 15L paint drums.
  • Build strong relationships with repeat customers in store and fellow colleagues.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest colour forecasts and product releases.
  • Assist with visual displays, store presentation, and housekeeping.
  • Comply with safe work practices.
Requirements
  • A driver's licence to make local deliveries.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A genuine desire to deliver outstanding service.
  • Previous experience working in a customer service role.
  • Experience with stock handling and merchandising.
  • Capacity to perform manual tasks, including lifting of 15L cans of paint.
  • Point of Sale (POS) system knowledge or appropriate tech-savvy.
  • Numeracy skills sufficient to perform POS transactions and comprehend tint percentages/ratios.
  • The ability to follow instructions and work effectively unsupervised.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook.
