Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Customer Service Officer to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and promoting our products and services.

About the Opportunity

This is a relief role, which will be rostered across various Post Offices within a geographical location. You will work as part of a dynamic team, supporting customers with their mail and parcel needs, processing cash and credit transactions, and handling identity services transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Transaction Processing: Process cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, handling high-value transactions with care.
  • Identity Services: Conduct and process identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews, with attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Product Promotion: Promote our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising, and other promotional activities.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with administrative tasks such as stocktaking and record maintenance.

About You

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will need to have experience in customer service and/or cash handling, and be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift.

Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $33.66 (loaded casual rate) increasing to $35.98 after 3 months, plus 12% superannuation. You will also receive extensive, supportive training on commencement, from Monday to Saturday, 8:45am - 5:06pm initial 5 weeks - Part Time. After training, your roster will include a mix of both scheduled and unscheduled shifts, Monday to Saturday, between 8:45 a.m. and 5:06 p.m. (penalty rates apply for Saturday).
