Aviation Security Officer Opportunity

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team in a dynamic role. As an Aviation Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and assets at our airport sites.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. They will also have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in aviation security or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patrols of terminal, perimeter, and airside/landside locations.
  • Control and monitor access points in accordance with airport security protocols.
  • Operate surveillance, alarm, and communications systems from the control room.
  • Conduct ID and vehicle checks at gates and other critical points.
  • Respond to security incidents and escalate as required.
  • Maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with airport stakeholders, law enforcement, and emergency services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • NSW Security Licence (1A minimum).
  • ASIC (preferred) or eligibility to obtain.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Certificate II in Security Operations.
  • Driver's Licence (vehicle patrol roles).
  • Control Room/CCTV certification (preferred for control room roles).
  • Willingsness to undertake further qualifications (paid training available).
  • Clean national police check and ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
