We are seeking a highly skilled and diligent Security Officer to join our team at Sydney Airport. As a Last Point of Departure Officer (LPOD), you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of airport operations through meticulous screening, access control, and customer service.
About the RoleThe LPOD Officer is responsible for managing access at international boarding gates, conducting thorough searches, and monitoring restricted areas. This hands-on position safeguards the integrity of international flights in line with established security and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Complete thorough screenings and inspections of property, catering items, and aircraft.
- Oversee access control and verify travel documentation at designated checkpoints.
- Record and maintain accurate security logs.
- Provide professional customer service, assist with lost property, and respond to queries.
- Support health, safety, and operational procedures, including regular training and compliance activities.
- Ability to obtain an ASIC Card.
- Security Licence (relevant state or territory).
- Effective communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work varied shifts.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
