Job Opportunity

We are seeking diligent Security Officers to fill key positions at Sydney Airport. As a Last Point of Departure Officer (LPOD) and Behavioural Analysis Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of airport operations.

About the LPOD Role:

  • Manage access at international boarding gates.
  • Conduct thorough searches and monitor restricted areas.
  • Protect the integrity of international flights in line with established security and regulatory standards.

About the BAO Role:

  • Observe, analyse and engage with passengers to identify and respond to unusual or high-risk behaviour patterns.
  • Conduct discreet assessments of relevant travel documentation.
  • Accurately document incidents and support ongoing security awareness.
  • Uphold high customer service and professional standards while participating in security reviews and training activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Complete thorough screening and inspections of property, catering items and aircraft.
  • Oversee access control and verify travel documentation at designated checkpoints.
  • Record and maintain accurate security logs.
  • Provide professional customer service, assist with lost property and respond to queries.

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain an ASIC Card.
  • Security Licence (relevant state or territory).
  • Effective communication skills, professionalism and ability to work various shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
